01

Who we are

Nesva Studio is an interior architecture and design practice registered in India, with its principal studio at Delhi, India. We act as the Data Fiduciary for the personal information described in this policy.

Questions about this policy, or about the information we hold, should be addressed to the studio at info.nesvastudio@gmail.com. A named member of the team is responsible for data protection and will respond to you directly.

02

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to respond to you and to carry out work you have asked us to do. In practice this falls into a small number of categories.

  • Contact details you provide through an enquiry or consultation form — name, email address, telephone number and property location
  • Information about a prospective or live commission, including budget indications, programme and details of the building
  • Correspondence between you and the studio, retained so that we have an accurate record of what was agreed
  • Basic technical information from your visit to this website, such as pages viewed and approximate region, collected in aggregate
03

How we use it

Enquiry information is used to reply to you, to assess whether we are the right studio for your project, and to prepare a proposal if both parties wish to proceed. Where a commission begins, the same information supports the delivery of that work — coordinating consultants, ordering materials and maintaining project records.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. Where a supplier, contractor or consultant must receive details in order to do their part of the work, they receive only what is necessary and are bound by equivalent confidentiality obligations.

04

Photography and publication

Completed projects are photographed only where the client has given written consent after completion, and that consent is separate from the design agreement. You may withhold it entirely, permit publication without identifying features, or allow it while requiring that the location is never named.

Consent may be withdrawn at any point for future use. Material already printed in a magazine or book cannot be recalled, and we will tell you so plainly rather than promise otherwise.

05

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a commission are retained for twenty-four months and then deleted, unless you ask us to remove them sooner or a longer retention period is required by law. Records relating to completed commissions are held for seven years, reflecting our professional, contractual and accounting obligations and the practical reality that clients return to us years later about a detail.

Project drawings and specifications are archived indefinitely as part of the studio record. Where these are retained beyond the periods above, personal contact details are stripped from them where reasonably practicable.

06

Cookies and analytics

This website uses a small number of functional cookies necessary for it to work, and privacy-respecting analytics that record page views in aggregate without building a profile of you or following you across other sites. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.

You can block cookies in your browser settings. The site will continue to function normally if you do.

07

Your rights

Under applicable Indian data protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules, you may have rights over the personal data we hold about you. These may include the right to access information about your personal data, request correction or updating, request erasure where applicable, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and raise a grievance in accordance with applicable law.

  • Ask for information about the personal data we hold and how it is being processed
  • Ask us to correct or update personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Ask us to erase personal data where we are no longer required or permitted to retain it
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent, subject to applicable law
  • Raise a grievance with us regarding the processing of your personal data
08

Security

Client information is held on encrypted systems with access limited to the members of the team working on your commission. Physical drawings and samples relating to private residences are stored in the studio and are not left in accessible areas.

No system is perfect. Where a personal data breach requires notification under applicable Indian law, we will take the required steps to notify the appropriate authority and affected individuals within the applicable statutory period.

09

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, write to us first at info.nesvastudio@gmail.com and we will investigate properly. You may also exercise your grievance and other rights under applicable Indian data protection law and, where applicable, approach the Data Protection Board of India in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable Rules.
