IThe Origin
Every piece in Nocturne was designed to work at four percent output. Most decorative lighting collapses below twenty; ours was engineered downward from the start.
The alabaster is quarried in Volterra and cut to twelve millimetres — thin enough to transmit, thick enough to survive a lifetime of being knocked.
No fixture in the collection uses a visible bulb. The light source is always behind stone, glass or metal.
IIInspiration
The way candlelight behaves inside an alabaster window in a Tuscan church: not bright, but present.
IIICraft
Alabaster is hand-selected block by block for translucency and veining. Bronze components are lost-wax cast and hand-patinated. Each fixture is individually photometered before dispatch.
